About the Role
In this strategic and hands-on position, you’ll lead the development of the company’s data and IT landscape. The focus will be on setting a solid foundation for long-term scalability, while delivering reliable systems that support day-to-day operations. As the organization grows, so will your scope — including team leadership, architecture decisions, vendor oversight, and digital transformation projects.
You will play a central role in aligning data and technology initiatives with the company’s growth objectives, collaborating closely with internal departments and external partners.
What You’ll Do
Leadership & Team Development
- Build and guide a Data & IT function from the ground up, including recruitment and mentoring.
- Define and implement scalable processes and frameworks across both domains.
- Foster a high-performance environment with a focus on continuous improvement.
Systems & Data Infrastructure
- Architect and roll out a future-proof, cloud-based data ecosystem (e.g., Snowflake or equivalent).
- Oversee the design of IT infrastructure that supports operational needs and organizational expansion.
- Ensure systems are secure, resilient, and aligned with evolving business demands.
- Source, evaluate, and manage relationships with technology providers and service partners.
- Define performance standards and oversee delivery according to contractual commitments.
- Coordinate external expertise with internal priorities.
Process Optimization & Implementation
- Spearhead integration projects to streamline systems across departments.
- Identify and resolve bottlenecks in information flows and technical operations.
- Ensure technology solutions support the company’s scale-up roadmap.
Data Governance & Compliance
- Establish clear data quality protocols and governance standards.
- Ensure compliance with regulations like GDPR and other data privacy frameworks.
- Promote a culture of data integrity and secure handling across the business.
Your Background
We’re looking for someone who combines strong leadership with hands-on technical expertise. You’ll bring a blend of architectural vision, operational insight, and business acumen.
- Experience in scaling tech or data teams, preferably in a growth-stage company.
- Strong grasp of modern data platforms and IT systems, including cloud infrastructure.
- Ability to balance strategic planning with hands-on execution.
- Skilled in cross-functional collaboration and third-party coordination.
- Fluent in translating business needs into scalable technical solutions.
Requirements
- Academic background in Data Science, Computer Science, Business IT, or similar.
- 5+ years in a senior role spanning data, IT, or systems architecture.
- Experience with cloud-based tools and data infrastructure.
- Familiarity with data protection regulations and governance best practices.
