innovation and quality. Teams across production (and support),
logistics, construction, finance, sales, and HR work closely

satisfaction.

The company specializes in the
development and manufacturing of geosynthetic materials used to
reinforce, separate, filter, and protect civil and environmental
infrastructure.

Recruitment &
Selection Process

Olympia is
responsible for managing the recruitment and selection process. You
will be offered a direct contract with our client, with whom we’ve
enjoyed a successful and pleasant partnership for over six
years.

The application process begins
with a meaningful conversation with you, which can take place at
Solmax’s location or at one of our Olympia offices in Almelo,
Hengelo, or Lichtenvoorde. Following this, we will introduce you to
Solmax, where the first interview will be
held.

Are you passionate about

inclusive workplace? As HR Manager, you’ll join a highly
international team within a global leader in sustainable solutions
for civil and environmental infrastructure. This full-time position
is based in Hengelo, the Netherlands.

In this
pivotal role, you’ll help shape the company culture, oversee the
full HR policy at the site, and support employees in reaching their
full potential. You’ll work closely with the local management team
in Hengelo and collaborate with the wider EMEA HR team. Fluency in
both English and Dutch—spoken and written—is
essential.

You combine strategic insight with
hands-on execution and contribute to a positive, safe, and
future-oriented work
environment.

Key
responsibilities:

  • Develop
    and implement HR strategies aligned with business
    objectives
  • Oversee recruitment & selection,
    performance management, learning & development, absenteeism,
    and employment conditions
  • Manage relationships
    with the Works Council and trade
    unions
  • Supervise an HR colleague responsible
    for personnel administration and
    payroll
  • Actively contribute to international HR
    projects and harmonization efforts
  • Promote
    employee satisfaction and engagement
  • Ensure
    compliance with laws, regulations, and internal
    guidelines
  • Prepare reports and HR analyses to
    support decision-making

As
HR Manager, you take ownership of creating a positive and engaging
work environment. You quickly grasp how things operate, assess
current workflows, and apply your expertise to optimize processes
and drive improvement.

Your
profile:

  • A Bachelor’s
    or Master’s degree in Human Resource Management, Business
    Administration, or a related field
  • At least 10
    years of broad HR experience, preferably within a production or
    industrial environment
  • Solid knowledge of Dutch
    labor law and experience with employee participation (e.g. Works
    Council)
  • Strong communication skills in both
    Dutch and English
  • A proactive, independent, and
    solution-oriented mindset
