Introduction
We are seeking a strategic IT Infrastructure Team Manager to lead our global team. As we scale rapidly across manufacturing and projects, you will ensure our physical and cloud environments are robust, secure, and ready for 24/7 operations.
You aren’t just keeping the lights on; you are supporting our ramp-up program OneFuture, where on-time delivery is key, downtime isn’t an option, and security is a core product value.
Your team consists of three disciplines: compute & storage, networking, and workplace. Our rather complex infrastructure, dictated by security (and history), consists of both cloud-connected and stand-alone environments. The IT Infrastructure Team Manager will be part of the IT Leadership Team and will report to the IT Director.
Key responsibilities:
- Team Leadership: Lead and mentor a diverse, international team of systems, workplace and network engineers. Foster a culture of high performance, accountability, giving / receiving feedback and continuous learning.
- Infrastructure Strategy: Lead the design and execution of a scalable roadmap for server architecture, storage, modern workplace and networking (on premise and cloud) that aligns with our delivery goals towards our customers.
- Projects and Manufacturing Continuity: Maintain “Always-On” infrastructure for our production facilities, ensuring low latency and high availability for OT/IT integrated environments.
- High-Stakes Security: Partner with the IT Security to implement rigorous security protocols, including Zero Trust architecture, robust disaster recovery, and proactive threat mitigation.
- Project Delivery: Oversee the IT lifecycle and international project deployments, ensuring seamless integration into the global network.
- Vendor & Budget Management: Manage global service provider relationships and optimize infrastructure spend while maintaining premium service levels.
Your profile
- Master or Bachelor degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, Information Technology or a related field.
- 10+ years of experience in IT and with at least 5 years in a leadership or team lead role.
- Experience in managing remote/distributed international teams.
- Strong grasp of on premise and hybrid-cloud environments.
- Understanding of ISO27001, NIST, or similar frameworks. You treat security as a prerequisite, not an afterthought.
- Experience in Manufacturing or Industrial sectors is a plus.
- Communication and influencing skills. Professional reporting and presentation skills. Excellent communicator at all levels (able to adjust communication style based on audience).
- Organiser and planner. A keen planner, strategist and implementer of projects.
- Result oriented. Achieve results in an environment that is in transition to become organized globally, while delivering IT services locally per site. Demonstrated success in a dynamic environment of business transformation and change.
- Relationship building. Excellent stakeholder management and relationship building skills.
- Coaching. Support your team in daily delivery of an always-on infrastructure and projects.
- Proactive and aimed at continuous improvement. Experience with quality improvement & operational excellence.
- Agile mindset. Close alignment with stakeholders, incremental approach.
- Keen to work in an international environment and willing to travel.
- Lead by example.
- Excellent in cost/budget control
- Either German or Dutch native speaker, fluent English communication verbally and in written communication.
