Senior VHDL Design Engineer
We are looking for an experienced Senior VHDL Design Engineer who is ready to take the next step as a Team Lead. In this role, you will work on cutting-edge projects and guide a team of VHDL engineers within a collaborative, high-tech setting.
Your Role
As a Senior VHDL Engineer and Team Lead, you will be involved from concept through verification. You’ll contribute to the design of complete systems and lead the VHDL design process while mentoring a growing team.
- Take ownership of concept development, system requirements, and design verification
- Participate in system-level design discussions with electrical and software teams
- Estimate technical work and identify development risks
- Communicate project status and engage with customers during technical meetings
- Develop VHDL code, create testbenches, and support FPGA bring-up on hardware
Team Leadership Responsibilities
You will play a critical role in ensuring the technical success and professional growth of the VHDL team.
- Guide and coach VHDL engineers on design practices and project tasks
- Align team processes, tools, and responsibilities
- Regularly evaluate team performance and provide input for performance reviews
- Help maintain a high standard of engineering quality and structure
- Promote collaboration and knowledge sharing across disciplines
Your Profile
You bring technical expertise, leadership ability, and a structured approach to engineering.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering
- At least 5 years of experience with VHDL development in product environments
- Familiar with FPGA tools from Intel, Xilinx, and Lattice
- Skilled in debugging digital systems and using measurement tools
- Strong communicator who enjoys working with both colleagues and clients
