Introduction
We are seeking a resilient and strategic Team Manager IT Business Applications to lead our global team. As we scale rapidly across manufacturing and customer projects, you will ensure our applications contribute to realize the company strategy. In this role you support our ramp-up program OneFuture where on time delivery is key.
Your team exists of two disciplines: Custom applications and Commercial (of the shelf) applications. Although we prefer to have of-the-shelf applications, our primary processes sometimes have very specific demand which we will meet by in-house developed software.
The Team Manager IT Business Applications will be part of the IT Leadership Team and will report to the IT Director.
Key responsibilities:
- Team Leadership: Lead and mentor a diverse, international team of software engineers and application engineers. Foster a culture of high performance, accountability, giving / receiving feedback and continuous learning.
- Application Strategy: Lead the design and execution of a roadmap for implementing and maintaining of commercial and custom applications that align with our delivery goals towards our customers.
- Manufacturing Continuity: To support our manufacturing, assembly and installation colleagues you have to align closely on their (future) demands. Build a team that can successfully deliver and execute projects. Close collaboration with the teams developing OT (Operational IT) is needed to be successful.
- Project Delivery: Take ownership on the IT lifecycle and international project deployments, ensuring seamless integration into the global IT landscape and on time delivery.
- Vendor & Budget Management: Manage global service provider relationships and optimize application (license) spend while maintaining premium service levels.
Your profile
- Master or Bachelor degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, Information Technology or a related field.
- 10+ years of experience in IT and with at least 5 years in a leadership or team lead role.
- Experience in managing remote/distributed international teams.
- Strong grasp of enterprise applications and (in-house) software development.
- Experience in Manufacturing or Industrial sectors is a plus.
- Communication and influencing skills. Professional reporting and presentation skills. Excellent communicator at all levels (able to adjust communication style based on audience).
- Organiser and planner. A keen planner, strategist and implementer of projects.
- Result oriented. Achieve results in an environment that is in transition to become organized globally, while delivering IT services locally per site. Demonstrated success in a dynamic environment of business transformation and change.
- Relationship building. Excellent stakeholder management and relationship building skills.
- Coaching. Support your team in daily delivery of application services and projects.
- Proactive and aimed at continuous improvement. Experience with quality improvement & operational excellence.
- Agile mindset. Close alignment with stakeholders, incremental approach.
- Keen to work in an international environment and willing to travel.
- Lead by example.
- Excellent in cost/budget control
- Either German or Dutch native speaker, fluent English communication verbally and in written communication.
