Your Role: Transport Manager

As Transport Manager, you’ll take the lead in planning and optimizing our transport operations. This is a dynamic, hands-on role where you’ll combine strategic thinking with operational excellence. You’ll manage our own fleet and coordinate with external carriers to ensure efficient, cost-effective transport solutions. Your entrepreneurial mindset and leadership skills will help drive continuous improvement and innovation within the department.

What you’ll do

• Develop efficient route planning and schedules for drivers and equipment.
• Lead and support our team of drivers.
• Negotiate and manage relationships with external transport partners.
• Monitor KPIs such as fuel consumption, maintenance, and cost efficiency.
• Minimize empty kilometers and maximize profitability.
• Ensure smooth administrative processes and customer satisfaction.
• Contribute ideas for business development and process optimization.

What we’re looking for

• Solid background in management and at least 5 years of experience in transport logistics.
• Fluent in Dutch and German (English is a plus).
• Strong geographical knowledge and commercial insight.
• Resilient, flexible, and highly responsible.
• Entrepreneurial mindset with a drive for continuous improvement.
• Proficiency in MS Office and basic administrative skills.
• A hands-on attitude—this is not a 9-to-5 job!
